The irony here is that the Dems did everything they could, along with their surrogates the liberal media, to make sure that Trump was the GOP nominee...from the Jan6 Committee to the trials orchestrated to take place during the primaries. Their insistence that inflation was transitory and that the lowest approval ratings in the modern era were due strictly to poor messaging, was a tone-deafness we haven't seen in quite some time, bordering on the smug. From the catastrophic and deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan to both raging wars and humanitarian crises, the weakness exhibited by America on the world stage with their inability to maintain a rules based order while weaponizing the world's reserve currency, was something pathetic for the electorate to witness. Trump's term pre-pandemic was defined by generational lows in inflation and unemployment, with moderate economic growth and no wars. By the time the Democrats were done governing, people were downright wistful for Trump. I voted for neither candidate, extremely disappointed in my choices...hardly a profile in courage living in NY State. That said, I most definitely had a preference...
Speaker fighting hard against irrelevance. Back to the wilderness. You’re not ready to come back. Reminds me of what I heard one time. Dems like to be “right.” GOP likes to win.
